Good Earth Tools’ Culvert Cleaners open blocked culverts quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively, using a mechanical augering system that's easy to manage and completely dry.
Good Earth Tools' Culvert Cleaners are mechanical augers designed to quickly and efficiently clear blocked culverts with minimal manpower. With just two operators, culverts can be flowing in 20 minutes and fully cleared within an hour. Our high-torque, low-speed system eliminates the need for water or vacuuming, reducing risk and road downtime. These cleaners fit most backhoes or mini excavators, handling culverts up to 60 feet and 36 inches wide. Easy to operate and move, they're built to last with mining-grade, carbide-protected bits and a sealed drive system for underwater use.

A customer had a fully clogged box culvert under US 31 in Alabama. According to one state employee, this culvert had not flowed in years. An ordinary jet-powered auger system would be ineffective, as water surrounded the culvert on both sides.
Our system uses a high-torque, low-speed auger to church through stringy vegetation, beaver dams, and other impacted debris without water or vacuuming.
The Good Earth Tools Culvert Cleaner was able to clear out one of the 10-foot-wide culvert boxes in less than one day, using 115 feet of augers. Clearing the culvert revealed that there had been a partial collapse of the culvert on the eastern side of the highway. Our customer was able to successfully remove old asphalt, concrete, wood, trash, rocks and dirt from the culvert.
