Day-to-day use isn’t kind to typical ground-engaging skids. Asphalt, granite, gravel, sand, and dirt can grind down surfaces and grind your mowing operation to a halt. Worse, if wear reaches the pivot box, you're left with serious safety risks and costly rebuilds.

With Good Earth Tools' Z-Skids™, that daily wear is barely there. Made with solid Tungsten Carbide — one of the most abrasion-resistant materials available — Z-Skids last up to five times longer, protecting your mower deck and cutting down maintenance time.

During a typical year, an OEM skid needs three replacements. Mowers equipped with Z-Skids won't need one. You won't need to replace your Z-Skids the next year, either, or the year after that. So far, our data shows roughly 18 OEM skid replacements for every one Z-Skid — and that's only growing. (We're waiting for current test Z-Skids to wear out, but they keep holding strong.) Per machine, that's at least $2,000 in savings over a five-year period.

Z-Skids are custom made for all manufacturers and deck sizes, so they're available for your hog, batwing, boom, flail, and sickle mowers, whatever make or model. You can also upgrade existing skids — Good Earth Tools adds Carbide to OEM skids to extend wear life and minimize maintenance.
